An incredibly isolated band of snow squalls settled in over the London region early this past week dumping over 100cm of snow in some areas. Lucan, which is located roughly a half hour drive north of London, had close to 140cm of snow during this three day event. For those of you unfamiliar with the fluffy white stuff, our average annual snowfall for this area is somewhere in the ballpark of 200cm. So Lucan had almost 3/4 of their annual snow within a 72 hour window. Intense to say the least. London shut down, literally. Travel was made nearly impossible, not just because of the blinding snow, but dodging pedestrians became something of a sport.
